In Southern California, our temperatures are usually mild, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t consider a climate controlled storage unit. You may especially want to choose a climate controlled unit if the items you are storing are valuable or temperature sensitive.
In high temperatures, which we are more prone to in Southern California, things like candles or beauty products can melt, destroying the item itself, as well as anything else nearby. Humidity can also be harmful and cause items to warp, crack or split. Things such as electronics, wines, furs, documents, wood and leather can be destroyed if not kept at the proper temperature and humidity level.
