Southern California hasn’t quite made up its mind yet as far as which season it feels like observing as we welcome November, but the nights are getting colder, we’ve had a bit of rain, and it does seem that colder weather is indeed on its way and intending to stay (hopefully). What this means, aside from the holidays coming up, is that it’s time to pull those cold weather clothes and other items that you’ve had in storage out and put your summer weather clothes and other items in.
You don’t want to be caught unprepared with only t-shirts if a cold weather storm hits, so even though it may still seem early, get those sweaters, jackets, rain boots, blankets, long pants, scarves, gloves, hats, and any other seasonal clothes out of storage and into your closet. Read the rest »
Halloween is upon us which means that Thanksgiving and the other winter holidays are going to be here before you know it! Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukah and other fall and winter holidays are a time for gathering family and friends to talk, reminisce, eat delicious food and drink good wine. The holidays are a great opportunity for that, and a self-storage unit is especially suitable for Halloween fun. Read the rest »
October is a special month; one of haunted houses, horrifying mazes, spooks, scares and, of course, more sugar than you have in any other month combined. It’s also the first full month of fall and there may be some nice autumn foliage, but that’s not really important. Halloween is the most important thing that happens in October and we need to do it justice.
So, in keeping with the spookiness of the month, what would happen if some of the most heinous horror villains of all time had a self-storage unit? What would they put there? Or, more importantly, what would we find if they stopped paying rent and the contents of the storage unit had to be auctioned off? Read the rest »
