Halloween is a holiday where adults are allowed to act like kids. That’s probably why October 31st is such a popular day for all ages. All Hallows’ Eve is less than a week away and you’ve probably already decorated your house and lawn and decided what this year’s costume will be. You’ve stocked up on candy for trick-or-treaters and picked what scary movie you plan to watch. As the seasons change, we may find our living spaces crowded with things we won’t be using for a while. These could be holiday decorations, seasonal clothes, or sports equipment. Of course, you don’t want to get rid of your snowboarding equipment just because summer is on the way, or sell your water skies when autumn arrives. But, you also don’t want your house, garage, or apartment over-cluttered with things you aren’t going to need for months.
It’s happened to all of us. We fall in love, get married or move in together, then start growing apart. It’s a difficult time in our lives, but we need to move on, heal, and fall in love again. Break ups are hard, both emotionally and logistically. There are issues over mutual friends, pets, belongings, and living arrangements. A couple sharing a house or two bedroom apartment will have to move to smaller quarters when they split up. This can cause problems when adjusting to living with less space.
