At STORBOX, we provide high quality, climate controlled, and secure self storage units for our great customers. And while we strive to provide the best storage service around, we know we’re not the first to offer storage containers. In fact, you have to go back all the way to the prehistoric ages, a time when fire was a thing of magic and cavemen daily fought with velociraptors and pterodactyls (that’s scientifically accurate, right?). So jump into the greatest time machine of all with us, imagination, and ride a swirling vortex of baseless thought and conjecture into the distant past to find the original storage container!
Located somewhere between a bubbling swamp of tar and a lava-filled active volcano sits a dank, dark cave that the local cavemen have decided to use as their own storage container. Getting ownership of the cave wasn’t easy. A mixture of Sleestaks and giant bats had to be routed out in order to use the cave to now store valuable possessions. Every so often, our cavemen friends have to fight off marauding bands of Neanderthals. While not as highly advanced as the cavemen, they make up for their lack of ingenuity with brute strength!
For the past decade (in current human years, cavemen were notoriously poor time keepers), this makeshift storage unit has been filled with odds and ends that may seem average to us, but boggle the minds of cavemen and cavewomen across Pangaea!
Behold, a very shiny rock! Perhaps the shiniest that has ever been seen, at least at the time. In the corner sits a T-Rex skull, no doubt one of this tribe’s finest trophies and the result of dozens of cavemen inventing the idea of teamwork to take down this ferocious predator. The walls are lined with the pelts of animals of all kinds, from wooly mammoth fur, spinosaurus sails, and many more trophies covering the black rock walls of the cave.
And in the center of it all, displayed on top of a crudely-fashioned display case made from bones, sits a giant pearl. A foot in width, this gleaming pearl was seized from the jaws of a humongous oyster at the bottom of a lava-heated lake by a sole caveman who was appointed chief for this feat of daring-do. Now it sits guarded in this primitive yet awe-inspiring storage unit, lost to the ages!
