There are die-hard fans in every sport, but none really compare to football fans on Super Bowl Sunday. Last weekend, New York Giants fans and New England Patriots fans gathered around the T.V. or in the stadium, surrounded themselves with friends and good food, and rooted for their team. Unfortunately, as with all competitive sports, only one team could win, and this time it was the New York Giants with a 21-17 win.
For many, Super Bowl XLVI was a great loss, and for some, it was downright painful.
The reaction of a die-hard fan to a Super Bowl loss can be unpredictable. While many will be disappointed, they will continue sporting their team’s gear and keeping team paraphernalia around, continuing their unyielding support for their team; but for others, these things may only be reminders of crushing and demoralizing disappointment. A true fan never stops being one, but in the early days after a loss, the wound of disappointment may be too great to stand up to all the memorabilia and paraphernalia. So where do you put it all? If you actually go into your garage, basement, or attic, those won’t work. You’ll just go into the garage, see the box marked “Patriots Stuff”, and just relive the Super Bowl loss. It needs to be out of sight, out of mind while you get over it, and what better place for out of sight, out of mind than a self-storage unit?
You can keep the space as long as you need it, and may even find that you have quite a few other items that should be moved in. There’s always next year for football, but a self-storage unit will never let you down.
