It’s usually pretty quiet over here at STORBOX. Being a self-storage facility doesn’t really bring droves of people here on a daily basis, so we have plenty of time to think about things like Halloween. We want to put our ideas to good use, so, here are some last minute spooky ideas that can help you make your Halloween the best holiday of the year, whether you’re throwing a party, having a few people over, or just enjoying the day with your kids!
Spread the Love … of Spiderwebs
Didn’t have time to decorate much this year? Spiderwebs are your last minute savior! Buy one or two packs of spiderweb and spread them over clocks, tables, trees and other objects just sitting around. Those spiderweb packs usually come with a few spiders too, so feel free to throw those around, too!
A Gooey Surprise for Trick-or-Treaters
Mix in mushed up red jello in the bowl of candy so that when kids put their hands in it feels all gross and gooey … sort of like guts.
Spooky Food for a Spooky Night
Yes, we know food coloring isn’t good for you, but one night of using food coloring isn’t too bad. Throw some red food coloring in your ranch dip to make it “bloody,” maybe some black food coloring for the chicken wings so that they can be “bat wings,” and perhaps some green food coloring in spinach dip for some swamp muck.
Not Scary, but Still Halloweeny
Throw some orange and purple string lights on the outside of your house or on your outdoor plants. Quick and festive!
All of us at STORBOX hope you have a happy and safe Halloween! Remember to use a flashlight while trick-or-treating, watch out for candles and costumes, and never eat opened or homemade candy!
