Southern California hasn’t quite made up its mind yet as far as which season it feels like observing as we welcome November, but the nights are getting colder, we’ve had a bit of rain, and it does seem that colder weather is indeed on its way and intending to stay (hopefully). What this means, aside from the holidays coming up, is that it’s time to pull those cold weather clothes and other items that you’ve had in storage out and put your summer weather clothes and other items in.
You don’t want to be caught unprepared with only t-shirts if a cold weather storm hits, so even though it may still seem early, get those sweaters, jackets, rain boots, blankets, long pants, scarves, gloves, hats, and any other seasonal clothes out of storage and into your closet.
You may want to air them out a bit first, though. Maybe fluff them in the dryer before actually wearing them. It’s okay that they’ve been in storage, but you don’t necessarily want them to smell like storage.
Then, work on getting all those summer items in. That means shorts, t-shirts (though you’ll probably want to hold onto a few), tank tops, summer dresses, flip-flops and other sandals, swim suits, and other apparel that is made with little material. You don’t want to take up unnecessary space, especially when all the thicker winter clothes are brought out. If you don’t currently store your seasonal clothes, it may be something you’d like to consider. You can free up so much more everyday space if you store the items you don’t need in the basement or attic, or if you have neither of those, in self-storage.
Self-storage is not just for people who have too much stuff; it’s about giving people that extra little bit of freedom in their home to comfortably move around and get what they need conveniently. At STORBOX, our Pasadena self-storage facility is committed to helping you simplify your life. Our storage size guide gives you the unit sizes we offer to suit your needs.
