With the White Walkers defeated and the Long Night averted by Jon Snow and the other heroes of the battle of Winterfell, winter has finally come to an end. We know what you’re thinking: “Wait, winter just started!” and “Wasn’t the Night King supposed to be scary? His whole army got defeated in the very first battle they had to fight!” Right on both counts!
Fortunately, we do not actually live in Westeros, so our winters last a matter of months instead of a of years, but the final battle against the White Walkers was a bit anticlimactic to say the least.
Now, just like the dragon Rhaegal getting brutally shot out of the sky by the Iron Fleet, Summer has mercilessly annihilated Winter and there is nothing we can do about it but ask ourselves how we forgot that seasons changing was even a thing…
Now, you have all these cloaks and coats you had ready for winter, and you don’t know what to do with them. You could donate them to the poor orphans of Kings’ Landing, but considering how Daenerys Targaryen killed everyone in the city in a bout of genocidal madness, that is no longer an option. Maybe you can dye them black and go join the Night’s Watch? It’s always cold up by the wall, right? On second thought, that whole lifetime oath thing promising to own no lands and father no children seems like a lot to ask for just so you can keep wearing your favorite Lannister beanie. Plus, Lannister gear probably won’t go over well in the North. Those guys remember everything….
But just like your faith in the Game of Thrones writing staff, all good things must come to an end. The freezing-cold winter has been replaced by the flaming hellscape of summer, and only the Mad King would wear a fur-lined cloak in 95 degrees (who knew he was taking about heatstroke when he was screaming “Burn them all”?).
Luckily, StorBox is here to fulfill all of your storage space needs. We have units in a variety of sizes so you can find the right place to keep all your winter garments and that dragonglass you hoarded until you need them again. Time to break out those stylish Dornish silks and sandals for a few months!
Look on the bright side: Bran is king now and we are all living in a time of peace and prosperity. Sure, there’s a giant rogue dragon flying around to worry about, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. Plus, now that it is summer, you can look off into the distance and broodingly utter “Winter is coming” to yourself and it will actually seem appropriate for a change.
And once winter finally does return, your StorBox unit will have all your chain mail and fur cloaks ready and waiting for you to don once again. Your hope for a satisfying ending to the TV series, however, will remain crushed.
